Job Description

Ambassador Food Service Inc. is hiring a Sous-chef for formal dining and catering restaurant.
Wage$21.50 hourly, Working hours: 30 to 44 hours/week, Full-time contract, 1 vacancy
Requirement: 1-2 years of experience, high school or equivalent education, English language

Job duties:
Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions
Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs
Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
